Lisa Hassenstab named Associate Director of Public Policy for Lutheran health and human service network
March 17, 2008 – Washington, DC – Lutheran Services in America (LSA) has named Lisa Hassenstab as Associate Director of Public Policy effective March 17, 2008.
Lisa M. Carr, Senior Director of Public Policy for LSA, said, We are very excited to have someone so versed in the Lutheran network of caring join our staff. Her experience on the ground in government and church relations will help us reach out both to policy-makers and to grass-roots advocates interested in change.
Ms. Hassenstab had been Associate Director of Church and Government Relations for Lutheran Social Services of Illinois. She holds a Masters degree in Social Service Administration from the University of Chicago, a Masters degree in Theology from The Lutheran School of Theology, and a Bachelors degree in religion from Wartburg College.
Ms. Hassenstab will work out of the Washington, DC office of Lutheran Services in America.
