August 18, 2006 (Baltimore, MD) - Jill Schumann Named to NonProfit Times List

For the fourth consecutive year Jill A. Schumann, President & CEO of Lutheran services in America (LSA), has been named to the prestigious "Power & Influence Top 50" list in the NonProfit Times. This list is a compilation of leaders who are in positions of greatest influence in the nonprofit sector and who are having a significant impact on the work of nonprofit organizations in the country. The citation accompanying her listing reads in part, "…LSA touches roughly one in every 50 people through networks of members that have amazing clout in all of the roughly 3,000 communities in which they work."

This recognition is a tribute not only to Ms. Schumann's leadership, but to the tremendous work accomplished every day across the country by staff members, volunteers, donors and others in each of LSA's nearly 300 member social ministry organizations.
