August 29, 2005 (Baltimore, MD) - Jill Schumann, President and CEO of Lutheran Services in America Included in Nonprofit Times 2005 "Power and Influence Top 50 List"
For the third year in a row, Jill Schumann, President and CEO of Lutheran Services in America was named one of the Nonprofit Times "Top 50." Schumann is accompanied by other such notable leaders as Bill Gates, Co-Founder of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Mark Everson, Commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service, William D. Novelli, CEO of AARP, and U.S. Senator, Charles Grassley.
The report describes Schumann as a person who "has a quite a say in social policy." "Schumann, who does it all with a limited national staff of about a dozen and a vast network throughout the country, she makes sure the voice of the underserved is heard."
This year's honorees are also invited to a gala on September 15 at the National Press Club in Washington, DC. Political pundit Eleanor Clift is scheduled to keynote the event
