August 31, 2004 (Baltimore, MD) – LSA President Named to Top 50
LSA is working hard to make national-level connections that will leverage its collective capacity for
ministry and will develop opportunities for member organizations. By forging relationships and creating
awareness, LSA has begun to open doors with government, trade associations, foundations, researchers, and
other providers. For the second year the LSA president, Jill Schumann, has been named to the Top 50 people
of power and influence in the nonprofit sector by the leading industry publication, The NonProfit Times.
Last year the award spoke significantly to the size and scope of the Lutheran presence in health and human
services. This year it speaks to LSA’s collective ability to begin to mobilize that capacity for greater
impact.
