Lutheran Services in America's Public Policy office works to ensure the voices of our members are heard at the federal level, in part by seeking policy change that aligns with our member-informed priorities. Each spring, we release our policy priorities for the congressional year. This agenda is crafted in consultation with our members, and is intended to guide our efforts to make an impact and shape the conversation at the national level.
Lutheran Services in America policy agenda focuses on Children, Youth, and Families; Older Adults; the Federal Budget and Appropriations; and Nonprofit Sector Issues.

In the coming months, Lutheran Services in America will unveil policy priorities in our other key issue areas for 2017. Contact our Director of Public Policy and Advocacy, Sarah Dobson, to learn more.
Member Policy Survey Results
In 2014, Lutheran Services in America members took part in a survey about their public policy and advocacy practices and priorities. The goal of the survey was to better understand what advocacy activities are currently of the most value to member organizations. Click here to see the full results.
