A sequence of experiences this year exemplifies how valuable the LSA connection is. At the 2012 CEO Academy Brian Tennant, VP of Information Services at Bethesda Lutheran Communities led a session on managing information technology. It really got me thinking about our agency's IT strategies related to meeting our current and future program and business goals. In April at the LSA conference in Pittsburgh, I attended a second great workshop on aligning technology and business strategy. It was led by two CEOs, a CFO and their principal information officers. That led to a phone conversation and emails with Staci Wellentin with LSS Wisconsin/Upper Michigan. Julie Swanson The next connection happened when one of our agency staff members won an IPad given by CSC Leasing - a sponsor and exhibitor at the 2012 Annual Conference and a new LSA Business Partner. It turns out that both Cathy Redford and Ro Meade have had long-term work relations with Fred Kraegel, LSA Board member and both come highly recommended by him. In July, Fred traveled from his home in Richmond,VA to Roanoke to see several of our programs and visit with me and our staff. It was a very insightful visit.
