Enterprising Solutions for Caregiver Support

Caregiver Suite is a portfolio of Lutheran branded models, products and programs for strengthening caregiver support resources in America's communities. Designed to be easily adopted by LSA member organizations, congregations and others, Caregiver Suite products share a common goal of extending resources and support to those who care for parents, adult children or other loved ones who are aging.

Why Caregiver Suite?

Two-thirds of LSA member organizations provide aging services. Further, the desire for choice about where and how we live as we age is universal. With our country's largest generation standing at the threshold of their journey into aging, advocacy for models of care that support choice all the way to the end of life, to the maximum degree possible, has never been stronger. But safe and meaningful aging at home is achievable only with help from others.

Broad objectives of Caregiver Suite are to foster:

• Greater capacity for supporting informal caregivers wtihin the Lutheran social ministry system by widely disseminating effective models.
• Increased awareness of the critical need for caregiver support.
• Innovation in caregiver support models.
• Connections, shared learning and knowledge exchange through a Caregiver Suite Peer Network.
• Greater acceptance of the need for support when caring for a loved one who is aging, ill, disabled or dying.

Caregiver Suite is an initiative of Growth Ready. A Center for Enterprise. LSA's platform for spreading what works. LSA is looking for other high quality, replicable models that help social ministry organizations start or expand their programming in support of informal caregivers in their communities. LSA is interested in learning more about models that might be worthy of and ready for adaptation into a national brand.
