Now Accepting Applications for Results-Based Leadership Institute with the Annie E. Casey Foundation

Tuesday, June 28, 2016

LSA is proud to announce a new partnership with The Annie E. Casey Foundation (AECF) designed to bring together key leaders of the LSA Children, Youth & Families (CYF) community of practice to participate in AECF’s renowned Results-Based Leadership Institute (RBLI.)

Led by RBLI faculty members Donna Stark, Barbara Squires, and Raj Chawla, and tailored specifically for LSA members, this is a unique and exciting opportunity for senior leaders in the LSA network to be trained in the highly regarded results-based leadership approach, and to be part of a national youth wellbeing program with impact in communities across the US.

Launching in September 2016, this eight-month program is designed to support the LSA network of Children Youth and Family providers to define a collective set of results-based, data-driven indicators and performance measures to improve youth wellbeing nationally; integrate new results-based tools, approaches and methods in the fabric of their agencies; and prepare leaders to work with stakeholders in their own communities to drive results and achieve measures of well-being with their community partners.

Requirements:

Each LSA member is asked to select two representatives that will be able to participate in five, two-day in-person meetings over the course of the eight month period.  Additionally, there will be follow-up site visits by AECF staff and faculty to each participating team.  The currently planned meeting dates are listed below; all meetings will occur in Washington, DC.

  • September 15-16, 2016
  • November 17-18, 2016
  • February 9-10, 2017
  • March 16-17, 2017
  • May 2-3, 2017

Who should apply?

Senior leaders of an LSA member organization providing services and supports for at-risk youth and families that have robust technology reporting capabilities and strong executive support. LSA encourages the CYF cohort members to apply for this program to build on their previous work.

Travel expenses, including airfare and hotel, will be covered for each of the in-person meetings, thanks to the generosity of The Annie E. Casey Foundation.

We are accepting applications to join the 2016-2017 Results-Based Leadership Institute until Wednesday, July 20. Please note that space is limited, and we cannot accept applications after July 20.  To obtain an application, please contact Kim Roque at kroque@lutheranservices.org or at 202.499.5824; for questions about the program, contact Alesia Frerichs at afrerichs@lutheranservices.org or 202.499.5823.
