Senior Manager of Communications
Experience: 5-7 years
Education: B.A. in English, Politics, History, Communications, Government or related field.
Lead organization’s outreach to press. Develop and maintain reporter relationships. Write and place op-eds, columns, blogs and letters to the editor. Provide communications support to government affairs team. Coordinate grasstops communications. Lead social media on public affairs. Support events team and serve as key point of contact on sponsor relationships and sales.
Exceptional written and verbal communications skills. Experience building press lists, pitching stories and placing content. Skilled at developing and managing communications campaigns. Familiarity with graphic design software (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), social media platforms and tools (Twitter, Facebook, Canva) and email marketing (MailChimp). Experience with events and securing sponsorships a plus. Strong organizational and management skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple tasks.
