    Kick-starting the Connect-Home Collaborative

    Lutheran Services in America had the pleasure of hosting 4 of our members, as well as our partners from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill at our office for the kick-start of our 18-month Connect-Home Collaborative. We were joined by nursing home staffers and leaders from Samaritas, Lutheran Social Services of New Jersey, National Lutheran Communities and Services and Lutheran Services of the Carolinas.

    We are proud to help Nonprofit Finance Fund raise nonprofit leaders’ voices through the State of the Nonprofit Sector Survey. This Survey – the biggest national sampling of our sector – collects data about US nonprofits’ health and challenges into an accessible, evidence-based illustration of our ability to help the communities we all serve.

    New Members join the Connect-Home Collaborative for Seniors

    In partnership with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Lutheran Services in America is implementing an 18-month learning collaborative with four member organizations: Lutheran Services Carolinas, National Lutheran Communities and Services (NLCS), Lutheran Social Ministries of New Jersey and Samaritas.

    Donor Spotlight: Pat Savage

    “Love and serve your neighbor.” That was the theme growing up in the Werner household, but Pat Savage didn’t realize at first how that call would shape her life’s path. At the center of the Werner family was Pat’s mother— Margaret. Margaret was a passionate Lutheran who instilled the values of faith, family and service in her family. She was an involved in the local congregation, organized fundraisers for the high school band and founded a local Campfire Girls troupe.
