Airports and Transportation Options

Depending on where you are flying in from, it should be easy to find a direct flight to one of the three surrounding airports in close proximity to DC.

Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) 
Taxi is about 10 minutes and approximately $25 one way.
Metro from Ronald Reagan National Airport takes about 25 minutes and costs $2.20. LSA is equally accessible from the Red Line at Union Station or the Blue Line at Capitol South.

Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) 
Taxi is about 45 minutes and approximately $64 one way.

Baltimore-Washington Thurgood Marshall International Airport (BWI):
Taxi is about an hour and approximately $90 one way.

Train: Both Maryland's commuter rail service (MARC - $6, weekdays only) and Amtrak ($24) service is available from BWI to Washington's Union Station. After collecting your luggage, follow the signs for the MARC/AMTRAK red shuttle bus (free) to the BWI Rail Station. Check train schedules for details. Take the train to Washington, DC Union Station.

Metrorail, Buses and Taxis

The Metrorail subway system is safe, clean, efficient and easy to master. Metrobus provides connections for locations not serviced directly by Metrorail. DC's newest transportation solution, the Circulator now provides easy connections between Downtown and Adams Morgan, Georgetown and Union Station, Union Station and the Capitol Riverfront, and the Washington Convention Center and the Southwest Waterfront, as well as seasonal service around the National Mall. Taxi service is plentiful and economical in DC.
