Prayer is not random or haphazard, Jesus teaches us. It is an intentional action, intended to influence key moments in our lives.
Look at the times Jesus prayed – at his baptism, before he called his disciples, before he faced his own death. Jesus prayed often.
And he prayer in solitude, devoted to listening for a response. Like Jesus’ life, our lives are interwoven with prayer and prayer is interwoven
in our lives. We are to be intentional about setting aside time and places for prayer, especially before we have to make a decision.
