Today’s Front Line Hero is Lutheran Social Services of Nevada (LSSN), which is providing food pantry services every day during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Partnership for Food Safety Education recognized LSSN on World Food Safety Day, June 7, for its contribution to food security in Las Vegas.
Today’s Front Line Hero is Lutheran Social Services of New York (LSSNY), which is making efforts to recognize the unsung heroes of the pandemic. Sandra Bisono, case planner for LSSNY’s foster care program, was recently highlighted for her hard work and dedication to her clients.

LSSMN hosted a donation drive to support community members impacted by grocery store closures, damaged businesses, and transportation challenges, and saw an outpouring of generosity from people all across Minnesota!
Today’s Front Line Hero is Lutheran Family Services of Virginia (LFSVA), which is making efforts to ensure the Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) are shown well-deserved recognition for their hard work during the COVID-19 pandemic. LFSVA purchased hoodies for the DSPs, which include a logo that identifies them as heroes.
